Training with Cesar Millan at the Dog Psychology Center in LA—June 2014

Fundamentals of Dog Psychology and Behavior 1 was one of the best things I've ever done. Can't wait to get back there for Fundamentals 2... You see the labrador by my side? That's Holly, the dog that famously gave Cesar his worst ever bite. He took her as part of his pack because she was so unstable. She was very calm and balanced for all of us the whole time we were there. Each student has one-on-one time with Cesar on the pack walk, to get help with handling a number of dogs at once. When I took the leashes from him, he said: "Well, you're doing fine, let's just chat! So as we walked along, Cesar told me about his plans for creating a shutzhund arena to train working dogs. He said how all the new buildings would be painted in bright colours, like they do in Mexico. He said "why do Americans just like beige?" Good question! Hopefully, I'll get to see the more than 2 years of expansion when I get back there for F2.
